I’m a Best MicroFiction 2020 winner!

Last week I was knee-deep in the parenting trenches, with two jet lagged kids and my husband traveling for work. So naturally, my brain slid to the conclusion that I would never write again or amount to anything. Does anyone pay for self-doubt? ‘Coz I’m at a professional level there. But the universe brought me back to my senses in the best possible way. Last year, I was nominated for the Best MicroFiction 2020 anthology by two literary magazines. They published the winners’ list yesterday and I was gobsmacked to see my name on it, nestled between names that I look up to!

Best Microfiction

The Best Microfiction anthology series provides recognition for outstanding literary stories of 400 words or fewer.

Here’s the link to the story. It was published on Dec 2, 2019 in Moria Online – a literary magazine based at Woodbury University.

“For Two Blue Lines” will be printed in the Best MicroFiction anthology and will soon be available in bookstores across the world. Thrilled and honored to be in such stellar company and to be chosen by some distinguished judges. My deepest gratitude to the editors at Moria Online and to everyone who has read my work and encouraged me to keep writing.

What a start to 2020! The rest of the year has some big shoes to fill.
