Mexico in Pictures

A few photos from my trip to Puerto Vallarta in Jalisco, Mexico. Puerto Vallarta overlooks the beautiful Bay of Banderas and it is located at the base of the Sierra Madre mountains. Simply gorgeous place. See for yourself!

The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe

I wish I could capture the entire church, but I’m still an amateur photographer.

You probably can’t read the plaque. This is Señor Vallarta, after whom the city is named. Since I had such a great time, I thought he deserved a mention on this blog post 🙂

Also a must-see is the El-Malecon beach boardwalk. It’s a lovely promenade with beautiful statues and sand sculptures. Lots of excellent dining options too!

My favourite statue on the Malecon

More Malecon –

Seriously good sand sculptures!

A declaration of love on the extreme left. How’s that for a little romance?

The Countryside
One of the many carnicerias. They sure love meat!
A country kitchen.

I had the world’s best tacos here and I could be a professional taco eater, so that’s saying something 😉

Shrines for the dead.

The Mayan calendar. I wish I could decipher it.

And finally, I’ll leave you with this beautiful sunset over the Banderas Bay.

Happy Travels!
